| The class of 1977
held their 25th Reunion at The Grove in Anaheim Calif. in the shadow of
the now World Champion Anaheim Angels. Game 6 was played as the graduating
class of 1977 looked on. Both from the parking lot of the stadium
& the twin Jumbo Trons inside The Grove.
The red carpet had
been rolled out & the gourmet food impeccable!
Classmates piled
in from all over the country. The line was out the door & smiling faces
were great with anticipation of seeing old friends. Many comments were
said that night. "the red carpet was a nice touch," "how will we
ever top this one!". "I had a blast, not nearly long enough."
"Just like the 10 yr., I wish it would never end!". "Kudos to the planning
committee & all the work they did," "this was much better than the
20 yr." "seeing everyone was just great" "nice personal touches" "impressed
from beginning to end!".
The Grove was definitely
the place to party, & party we did. Dancing, laughing, renewing
old friendships, making new ones with classmates unknown during high school.
People vowing to keep in touch more often & to get together more often.
There has been talk of "mini-reunions" in between the milestone reunions.
This reunion was for Saxons by Saxons & it showed in every detail of
the evening. I definitely believe that this reunion put the class of '77
back together like never before.
On a more personal
note; I would like to thank Mari Kane for spawning the idea of a 25th LHS
reunion. Without you this would have never taken place!
Thanks to all!
